To those who have received SPAM under our domain name:
Thank you for confirming that the spoofed and fraudulent JUNK mail (SPAM) you may have received is being fraudulently generated under our domain name and is not coming from Audio Graphic Services. This matter has been reported to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Be advised that the information and address of the e-mails that are being fraudulently sent under our domain name are in violation of the CAN-SPAM act and are disguised under our address to prevent detection and are being sent from foreign servers. A check of the header information on these fraudulent e-mails will confirm this fact. At this point there is not much that can be done about this unlawful abuse other than notify you of the problem.
We have spoken by phone to one of the officers of a Canadian corporation being hyped in one of the returned spam e-mails. His company recently “went public” and soon thereafter the SPAM SCAM started. He indicated that he has not authorized the promotion of his stock nor the use of his company name. He thinks this is stock manipulation scam as when the value of his stock is pushed up, soon thereafter there is a sell off, as the manipulator “sells short” and his stock value drops. In Canada, according to the Canadian Corporation president, dealing the stock without holding it is illegal, but not in the U.S. And so goes another SCAM. He has reported the manipulation to the SEC, but so far nothing has been done.
Please consider the information in these fraudulent e-mail documents as useless as the low life people who are behind them. So much for the effectiveness of the CAN-SPAM act.
Please accept an apology for a problem that we did not create, have no control over, would like to “go away” because of the dearth of returned mail that was not generated here and are forced to deal with; as well as the damage to our good business name of over 40 years.
We are presently are working on the discovery of the fraudulent SPAMMER for criminal action with the appropriate agencies and considering civil legal action as well.
At the suggestion of counsel we are holding of the the returned e-mails for this low life and will be charging the SPAMMER a $10.00 service fee each for the time and trouble of retrieving his unsolicited return mail from our server and a $20.00 per day storage fee for each e-mail stored.
Any other suggestions are appreciated.
Sincerely,
Ed Wolfrum
